Monica I would like to thank you for sharing your beautiful paintings with the world. I was introduced to your work over 15 years ago when I entered a Drug Treatment Center. Along with the tools from the program viewing your paintings gave me an inner peace and inspiration I needed to start a new way of life. Some of paintings reminded me of the woman I once was or the woman I wanted to become. Others reminded me of the unity and loving support I had with my sisters before I started using drugs. I have been clean and drug free since 1994 and have follow your work since day one. I was very fortunate to get my very first print this year on the 13th of February for my birthday. (actual birhtday was 02-14-62). Your work continues to give me a calmness and enjoyment about life. Greetings, I simply adore your work and love to check in periodically for new items that may become available. Your touch with the brush or pencils are so soft, natural and peaceful to view. Most of my favorites are the ones with less color. Do you ever capture children at play? Last winter, my task to help decorate a newborn's (girls) nursery, I desperately searched for art with another flavor to it -- colorful Black art that is free-flowing, global, peaceful and unpoised in a nature setting. You came to mind. There is plenty of urban items available, but I wanted (still do) the real and softer images of our children captured; both of today, yester-years countrysides and long, long ago on the nearby rivers and shores of the African continent. If anyone can do it -- I know Monica's vision can. Please keep me posted. All the best, V

My local barber allows an art distributor to use the main wall in the building to hang and sell artwork, an urban gallery of sorts. Every two weeks or so, I see different work on the wall. So far I've seen Sax Seduction, Fantasy in Red ( sales very well), and Women who Look Ahead. It makes me look forward to more than a hair cut. Q: How did you start in the art publishing/ Print market and what advice would you give to those attempting to pursue this field. I've had some prints made and have been selling on my own. It has only been over the past couple of years I have acquired a particular love for black art. It seems the older I get, the more I am able to look at the picture and be able to relate to it on the emotional and spiritual levels. About two years ago I walked into a store and immediately Enchanting Keys caught my eyes. When I am at home, each time I pass by the picture, it stills catches my eye. To me, it also tells a part of my history as being a young inspiring black female.
